I think the last of our cooler weather this week is fading. We have had a beautiful breeze though and you can still feel a little of the cool air swirling around in it. It was too lovely not to sit out back on the patio and watch the birds and not break a sweat. I enjoyed watching the crazy squirrels and had visits from the usual Blue Jays, Cardinals and Ring-Necked Doves. The newcomer to the backyard is a Gray Catbird. I knew that it looked different, so I had to look it up. What helped is noticing some of its details such as its small black cap, blackish tail and reddish-brown patch under the tail. I'm putting some of my favorite images below from today's bird watch, but there are more in the gallery. Enjoy!
