I spent the early part of this morning at Anhinga Trail in the Everglades. I arrived around 8 and there was only one other car in the parking lot. I watched the lady get out, even though the vultures were swarming around her. I know better, as back in 2016, those dirty birds ate the window trim and damaged my wipers on my then new Escape. I purposely drove my husband's SUV today, but I still threw the tarps over it. As soon as I did that, they jumped on top and started to try and chew on something, but I won!

It was a very cool low 50's this morning and breezy. I was prepared with my long johns underneath my clothes and I never needed my jacket. As I turned down the road approaching Anhinga Trail, I was greeted by a beautiful sky.

I circled the trail about 3 times. I barely saw any people and I only saw a handful of birds and 1 gator. The most exciting thing I saw was a Cormorant chasing his breakfast. The catfish was larger than he was, but he eventually won. It was still a nice morning to get out and enjoy a little nature.
