I took the day off today to revisit Green Cay Wetlands. The last time I visited was back in March when I was looking for a new job. I woke earlier than I would on a normal work day and then drove 90 minutes north to seek out a barred owl that I've seen everyone posting about on Facebook. I did arrive just as the sun was rising and the cloud reflections were magnificent. Sadly, I never did see the owl. I walked the boardwalk several times and kept circling back to the front to look one more time. All in all, I walked over 3 miles today. Even though it was very hot, I enjoyed the fresh air.
I actually saw quite a variety of birds today. I encourage you to visit the gallery, as there will be many more photos to enjoy over there. Hit Slideshow at the top right, sit back and enjoy!
