It's the beginning of May and the start of our very hot and muggy South Florida rainy season. Today we woke with temps in the mid 60's...wait, what? Yes! We are being blessed with a late season cool front and low humidity! I couldn't just sit home and waste a perfectly good morning now, could I? I grabbed my camera and headed to Fairchild Tropical Gardens.
I prefer to have the place all to myself, but there was a small function going on (there's something going on every weekend of May for Mother's Day). If you go early enough, you really don't run into too many people, if any at all. I did bump into another photographer, however, who was waiting to shoot a proposal. She asked if I would mind being her test subject, because there wasn't a cloud in the sky and she wanted to test the light on an actual person. I kept my eye out for them a little later and did see that the girl said yes.
It was a great stroll. Too bad I can only capture the colors for you, because the smells and sounds of the garden are quite lovely on a beautiful morning such as it was today. Enjoy!
