What's Blooming at Fairchild?

May 07, 2016  •  1 Comment

Woke to the upper 60's in Miami this morning and it's May people! I just knew that I had to grab the camera and get out to enjoy the weather, so I visited Fairchild Tropical Gardens. Being that it's Mother's Day weekend, I was mainly on a search for anything in bloom. However, I did come across a male Cardinal, plenty of iguanas, an African Rainbow Lizard (who politely stuck his tongue out at me) and a juvenile Red Shoulder Hawk.

I was quite happy to see that the lily ponds are starting to get active. Normally I prefer the water to be still and the reflections to be like a mirror, but I really think that the movement in the water today created an artsy effect.
