My name is Amy and I live here in South Florida. Photography is my passion and a full time hobby. By day I am a Facilities Project Manager...but when time (and weather) allow, I grab my camera and go outside. I shoot everything from nature and landscape images to wildlife and birds. I enjoy documenting my images through words on my blog. I believe that images become more powerful when there's a good story behind them.

I got into digital photography when my daughter was born, which was in the summer of 2001. Looking back at some of my 2 megapixel point and shoot images of her makes me realize just how far digital photography has come in a relatively short time. I got my first digital SLR camera back in 2005...a Nikon D50. Like any newbie, I didn't have a clue what to do with it. So, I spent the next couple of years taking every non credit photography courses offered at my local community college. Some classes I enjoyed so much that I enrolled in them twice! I learned a lot from the instructors and other students. I also made some life long friends.

As crazy as life sometimes get, my camera gives me the ability to let go of the real world and just focus on my natural surroundings. It's a continuous learning experience and I look forward to sharing my passion for photography with you.

Thank you for visiting my website!
